Trial Record Musrara
Avi Sabag director of the Naggar School of Photography and New Media in Jerusalem and Sharon Horodi curator of the Musrara Mix Festival visited us in our Berlin studio in February this year. We spoke about our latest works and they invited us to participate in this years Musrara Mix 2013 not only with an installation but also with a workshop (separate post for the workshop will follow shortly). We were glad to be re-invited to this great festival that we very much enjoyed the year before.
Over the three festival days we created one wall-drawing in the beautiful arabic main building of the school with our robotical installation ‚Trial Record‘. We used another version of the Vertwalker robot which is visible in a different more sprited ductus. The choice of colors derived from the ancient Jerusalem mosques and their tiles.
On the second of the festival-days, musician Yoram Lachish asked us if he could inprovise musical accompaniment for the installation. It turned out to be a perfect fit. You can see him playing in the video below.
Again this was a great journey and experience in Israel. We’d be happy to come back next year.
